Koto (Konstantin) Javakhyan’s work blends tradition and innovation, creating a powerful and recognizable voice in Armenian contemporary art. Since 2013, he has been an active member of the Union of Artists of Armenia, continuing to shape the future of the nation’s artistic expression, while pushing the boundaries of creativity and inspiring a new generation of artists.
Javakhyan’s artistic journey began at the age of six at the Henrikh Igityan National Center of Aesthetics, where his early exposure to art laid the foundation for his creative path. From 1996 to 2000, he further developed his skills at the Hakop Kojoyan Educational Complex, before pursuing formal education at the State Academy of Arts of Armenia from 2000 to 2006. These formative years were pivotal in shaping his artistic vision, allowing him to integrate classical techniques with a contemporary approach in his distinctive body of work.
